In light of Dior's recent formulation change, there's been chatter about a decline in preference. Yet, for me, it's quite the opposite. The previous version's iris note never quite resonated with me. This new rendition, however, exudes the essence of a refined, masculine, contemporary, and sophisticated gentleman. Its aroma has garnered praise from those around me ever since I acquired it two weeks ago.

First, DH 2020 is not in the style of the original DH and has no resemblance to the iris based fragrances in the original or its flankers. It is completely its own thing. Woody notes with citrus. This is closer to Chanel Bleu de Chanel in spirit. DH2020 can be described as what would be a very good office scent. Unobtrusive and office friendly and professional. Projection is moderate to average with decent longevity and performance and it is very masculine. For more mature men. A great offering from master perfumer Demachy. Scent 8/10. Performance 7/10. Price: 6/10.
